New Hampton Golf & Country Club Rules and Regulations
GOLF
1. USGA rules will govern all play.
2. All golfers must sign in at the clubhouse before beginning play. This is enforced for emergency reasons in the event someone calls looking for a member or player. This is also a means to determine the number of rounds played in a year’s time.
3. Clubhouse approval is required to start on hole #6.
4. Each golfer must have their own bag and clubs; proper attire and footwear (soft spikes) are required.
5. No more than 4 golfers are allowed per group, except with clubhouse approval, e.g., few players on course, tournaments, family events, etc. Fivesomes are allowed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays after 4:00 p.m. as long as the fivesome allows faster groups to play through. No more than 2 golf cars per group except with a fivesome.
6. If groups combine on the course to make a foursome, they may play into the clubhouse on hole #5 or #9 and then adjust so there are only 2 golf cars going back out on the course. See exception in #5 above.
7. Use proper course etiquette and if there is an empty hole ahead of you, allow the faster group to play through.
8. Golfers wanting to play more than 18 holes of golf: starting golfers and nine-hole finishers will have priority at tee box #1.
9. A lost ball by one or more players shall be hunted by all members of the group. After 3 minutes, players who are following will be signaled to play through.
10. Walking on any part of the golf course while frost is present is not permitted.
11. If lightning is in the area, all play will cease. NHGCC does not assume any duty to detect lightning and warn players. Players assume the risk of playing in adverse weather conditions.

14. Renters and operators of rental cars are required to be 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license. The renter’s driver’s license will be held at the clubhouse until completion of the round and the golf car is checked for damage.

New Hampton Golf & Country Club Code of Conduct
As a member of the New Hampton Golf and Country Club, it is expected you will treat other members, guests, and employees with the utmost respect. There is always an avenue for constructive criticism, but there is no place for intimidation. No members are exempt from this code. You will follow the rules of golf and its basic
principles. This is a game played by individuals who are courteous to everyone on the course and in the clubhouse. As a member, you are responsible for the conduct of any guest that visits the course at your invitation.
A member is defined as any family member in the membership or a single member, single 18-23 member, single 24–29-member, social member, or junior member.
Members are not allowed to reprimand or issue orders to club employees or other members. Profanity is not acceptable and is considered verbal harassment. All complaints and/or suggestions should be directed to the Board or the Clubhouse Manager. (Names will be used and published in the minutes for all complaints) Infractions will be brought to the attention of the Clubhouse Manager and/or the Board of Directors. If a letter is sent to the Board, it must be signed or it will not be addressed.
It will be the Board of Directors’ responsibility to follow up on any written complaint about the alleged inappropriate conduct of a member. If there is a conflict of interest, a mediator will bring the complaint to the Board. The following process will be initiated by and at the discretion of the Board:
Step 1 (first infraction): The complaint will be put in writing. The member will be given a letter of warning by a representative of the Board. The original copy of the written complaint will be put on file. The member may ask to address the Board at its next meeting.
Step 2 (second infraction): The member will meet with the Board to discuss the infraction. At this time, the Board will verbally warn the member and place a letter of reprimand in the member’s file. Should the member choose not to meet with the Board, the Board will have no other choice but to proceed to Step 3.
Step 3 (third infraction): The member will be called to a meeting of the Board. At this meeting, the individual’s membership and all privileges will be terminated for no less than two years. The member will be asked to remove all personal items for NHGCC property immediately. All financial responsibilities must be met. At the end of two years, the individual may ask for reinstatement but will have to meet with the Board before the membership application will be considered.
These are some but not all the infractions that would be considered misconduct:
1. Verbal, physical, or sexual harassment of an employee, guest, or other member.
2. Deliberate damage to the property of a member or NHGCC property.
3. Bringing alcoholic or nonalcoholic beverages onto NHGCC property.
4. Bringing food (sandwiches) onto NHGCC property.
5. Continually hitting into another group.
6. Not allowing faster players to play through.
7. Failure to meet payment deadlines/timeframes.6
